Titan Grade 23 or 3.7165 ELI is the purer version of Titan Grade 5 and meets the high requirements in medical technology.

Ti-Grad 23 ELI is a variant of the Ti-Grad 5 alloy and is used in medical technology because of its good biocompatibility and excellent fracture toughness and crack propagation properties. Even at low temperatures, down to -253°C, the material still has good toughness properties. These properties, as well as a low modulus of elasticity and good fatigue strength properties, are achieved by lower contents of accompanying elements such as oxygen and iron (extra-low interstitials).
